                                                     Principal's Message

Chikusa High School has a proud tradition of serving the far-west Hyogo area for 70 years.
In that time it has developed a reputation as a unique school in a safe, caring and positive environment.   Students are encouraged to take full part in the busy life of the school, and participate in the varied sporting, cultural, volunteer, and leadership opportunities.

In 2010, our school was assigned as a secondary school under the close partnership with Chikusa Junior High School to meet the needs of the students and the community.   We also offer a wide variety of extra support for students.   Students with special needs and learning difficulties have the advice and guidance offered by our support staff to help them with their learning.

Our mission is also to provide our students with necessary skills and cultivate their talents so they can be accepted to the colleges/universities of their choice and be successful at those institutions of higher learning.   Chikusa High School is always trying hard for the betterment of the community.

David Goes Everywhere ! No.10 : 39th Graduation Ceremony

Last Friday, on February 28th, Chikusa High School held its 39th Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2014.  In all, 29 students received their diplomas in front of fellow students and parents, as well as a host of special guests who were there to pay witness to the culmination of their years of hard work.

The ceremony began with the handing out of certificates by the principal, Mr.Naohiro Asada, followed by his remarks to students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Then the mayor of Shiso city, Mr.Shozo Fukumoto, took the stage to give a speech, speaking about the importance of being a productive member of society.

Next, it was the students’ turn to give their speeches. Kanae Hirase spoke first on behalf of the students of Chikusa. Her remarks were heartfelt and conveyed the admiration we all felt for our leaving graduates. The last speech was then given by Ayana Shimizu, a representative of the graduating class addressing the teachers, students, and parents. Her tears echoed the emotions of her words, sad to be leaving the school they loved so much, but happy and excited for the future.

Finally, the ceremony concluded by singing a graduation song, Aogeba Toutoshi, which congratulates the 3rd year students on their accomplishment, followed by singing the Chikusa High School alma mater.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside to take pictures and enjoy the gorgeous warm weather. The school sports teams and clubs also got together to say goodbye to their leaving members, thanking them for their leadership and giving them gifts. Overall, it was a joyous celebration full of smiles and hope for the future.
